Veracious Brewing Company:

We have now been in business for 1 year!   To celebrate, we currently have twelve beers on tap, have eight wines for sale by the glass and serve cold brewed coffee on nitrogen.  Starting on Saturday July 23rd we will have a food truck each Saturday.  We also have the menus of local restaurants  Sal’s Pizza, Vazzys and Tavern and they will deliver for you if you order or you can bring in your own food.  Well behaved children are welcome!

Our tasting room is open on Thursday 3-9, Friday 12-9 and Saturday 10-9.  The tap room and brewery are available to rent on the days we are not open.

You can find some of our beers on tap at Vazzys Oesteria in Monroe, Osteria Romano in Monroe, The Tavern in Monroe, Buffalo Bills in Monroe, Coal House Pizza in Stamford, Romanacci Pizza Bar in Trumbull, Tap and Vine in Wallingford and we have three beers on tap at the Bluefish Stadium in Bridgeport for all the events held there this year.  We also sell logs and half barrels through Warehouse Wines which is located next to Maltose Express.

In January we were named as one of the top 33 new breweries in the United States by Beer Advocate Magazine.

Current News


This week we will be tapping:

1) Our wet hop ale WET which was made with 20 pounds of wet Cascade hops that volunteers pulled off the vines in our driveway and then added to the boil kettle.  We use the same grain bill as our Pedestrian ale but added local wet Cascade hops and local dried Columbus hops.  This beer was brewed 24 days ago and is 5.3% abv.

2) The 2016 Jack’d Up Pumpkin ale which we made in mid-July has been aging during the summer.  Now that fall is here it is ready to be served.  We added nine spices and vanilla beans into the boil while brewing this beer.  It is 8.3% abv.

3) Our 2016 Octoberfest Lager is finally ready to serve.  We brewed this 13 weeks ago and it has been slowly fermenting and lagering all summer.  The grain bill was Munich Malt, Vienna Malt and Pilsner Malt and the Octoberfest is 5.7% abv.  The Connecticut contingent will be pouring this beer and nine other Connecticut beers this year at the GABF in Colorado.

Thursday September 8th we tapped our wheat IPA, Silver Sands Summer Ale, which was the winning beer at the Cask Republic homebrew contest this summer.  This IPA has Mosaic and Cascade hops.

Recently we brewed an IPA with Mark Tambascio the owner of My Place Restaurant which is located in Newtown.   This IPA, which has Cascade, Falconers Flight, Citra and Mosaic is on tap at My Place Restaurant in Newtown and at Veracious Brewing Company.  Our second version of “Bloobs” is now on tap.  We used fresh blueberries from Jones Tree Farm in Shelton in this beer.

In the fermentation tanks we have a Double Bock that was the contest winner for the 2015 Maltose Express/Elis Home brew Contest.

Hoppy Ending

We brewed this with Mark from My Place Restaurant with Mosaic, Cascade, Falconers Flight and Citra hops, 6.9% abv

Our Fall Pumpkin Spice beer brewed with nine spices and vanilla beans, 8.3% abv

Johnny the Destroyer

Our 1 year anniversary beer brewed with Mosaic and Cascade hops, 4.6% abv

Owd Boreus

Imperial Red ale, brewed with an abundance of crystal malt and a kiss of rye, 9.2% abv

Problem Child IPA

A light bodied IPA with piney and lemony flavor and aroma, 5.7% abv

Silver Sands Summer IPA

Wheat IPA brewed with Mosaic, Cascade and Citra hops, 6.3% abv

Suga’ Baby Watermelon Ale

Wheat ale with fresh watermelon juice added during the brewing process, 4.8% abv

Classic Octoberfest brewed with Vienna, Munich and Pilsner Malts, 5.7% abv
